My Services
Individual Therapy
It is common for people to feel stuck in their lives and experience hardship. While reaching out for help can be daunting, therapy can be an empowering way to gain direction in your life and experience relief.

I often work with clients who are at a crossroads in their life, whether it be changing jobs/careers, moving states, uncertainty about a romantic relationship, or adjusting to parenthood. It is also common for clients to recognize frustrating tendencies like perfectionism, fear of commitment, anxiety in social situations, and being a harsh critic of oneself. Therapy can help you make sense of why you are struggling and help you gain confidence on how to navigate these challenges.

Specialty areas include:
-Anxiety or sadness surrounding life transitions
-Romantic relationship concerns
-Family conflict
-Perfectionism
-Grief and Loss
-Feelings of shame
-Social Anxiety
-Post-partum adjustment
-Career Concerns
Couple
Therapy
I have expertise providing couple therapy, including teaching, supervising, and publishing research on romantic relationships. I was also featured for an American Psychological Association instructional video on couples experiencing commitment uncertainty.
While couples are often apprehensive to begin the counseling process, clients often report that engaging in therapy was one of the best decisions they made for their relationship. My goal is for therapy to feel healing, rewarding, and bonding, as opposed to feeling shaming and accusatory. My approach utilizes emotion focused therapy to highlight each partner's emotional needs, and psychodynamic (insight focused) therapy so both partners can explore the origins of their communication styles and ways of coping.

Speciality areas include:
-Communication challenges
-Feeling emotionally disconnected
-Relationship transitions (engagement, marriage, children)
-Premarital counseling
-Cultural differences
-Conflict resolution
-Uncertainty committing to the relationship
-Infidelity
-Preventative care
