About Me

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Illinois. I also provide teletherapy throughout the country with my licensure through PsyPact. I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Louisville, where I received specialized training in individual therapy and couple therapy. I completed my doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago Counseling Center working with both undergraduate and graduate students. Throughout my career, I have supervised therapists in training, taught adjunct courses and seminars on psychotherapy, and published research on psychotherapy and romantic relationships.

My approach to therapy is insight oriented (also referred to as psychodynamic therapy) and emotion focused. I strongly believe that our emotions provide a road map toward happiness once understood fully, and I strive to help clients discover how their feelings, relationships, and desires all provide direction toward happier, more fulfilled lives. Further, I believe that processing past, meaningful experiences can empower us to have a better understanding of current selves and more control over our future.
